Is it okay to drink a monster energy before a boxing match?

I want to know if it’s okay to drink a energy drink, like monster energy, before a boxing fight, to be full of energy and to not get tired easily. Is it okay? Explain.
No it is not ok. The sugar rush will lead to a sugar crash and you will decline in performance. In fact I remember reading in yahoo sports a week ago about a guy on the Lakers who had a sweet toooth and it was hurting his play on the field because he lost focus after the sugar rush wore off. The crash will make you tired and you won’t perform better than with natural conditioning training. So it is not illegal in that sense but it is not recommended. I knew a kid back in high school in track that drank an energy drink and collapsed right after the race.

why do get bad headaches when I drink Monster energy drinks?

I drank Monsters regularly for about three years then all of a sudden it started giving me terrible headaches. when i would get these headaches i would get really dizzy, i couldn’t remember certain things, my mouth felt really numb, and i seen spots.
This only happens when i drink monsters i can drink red bull Rock stars, anything.
Sounds like vasoconstriction (constricted venous blood flow).
I would not drink anymore monster drinks EVER again. Could easily be something like the dye that is used making it different from Red Bull for you.

I just bought a 24 pack of monster energy drinks from costco. It works better than coffee at my stressful job. I am in my mid-20s and I hardly get exercise. My doctor said I am healthy though.
Yes you will still be alive LOL
I have drank a combination of Monster and Full throttle every day for three years straight and i am fine.
Just be careful they are very addicting !!!
