Monster Drink Industry – Photography Video
I was playing around with some old pictures as well as some new one and put together this little video. With my active lifestyle I really try to take care of my body and take in as much good nutrition as I can and eliminate the bad when possible. Excessive caffeine drinks I really try to avoid. That reminds me of when I was in college and I played pick up basketball 5 days a week. At least once a week I would be out of breath and really huffing and puffing and just could not figure out why I was so out of shape on one of those days per week. I later linked it to the days I didn’t get enough sleep and needed coffee in order to get some quality studying done. I would drink a cup or two, study and then go play basketball. That was it! It was the caffeine in the coffee drink that messed me up. Since then I have been a student of life, living, energy, health and nutrition. Enjoy the video.

Monster Drink Industry – Can They offer a Photographer Good Energy
So what can the Monster drink industry offer a Photographer as far as energy is concerned? Having been a professional photographer, having plenty of energy and mental clarity is imperative to capturing that perfect moment. Lots of energy with the jitters is the last thing I want. So the high caffeine, high sugar energy drinks are out. They do not give me the mental clarity that leads to inspiration and beautiful pictures.

I need a lifestyle that will not let me down. For example, I try to exercise every day. When I mean exercise I mean some type of cardiovascular whether it is jogging or biking for at least 30 minutes. I attempt to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Preferable 80% raw and 20 % cooked with 10% being fruits. I drink plenty of water throughout the day. Get that ever elusive 8 hours of sleep. And last but not least take some high quality supplements for added support, nutrition. For some of the nutritional products that I rely on like Bazi and GHP Sport go to http://www.monster-drink.com/category/health-nutrition
Many of the images I take require me to be up way before dawn. This picture was taken as the sun was just coming up. It was a cold January morning and the sunrise was anything but spectacular. So instead of getting frustrated and heading home I chose to focus on some cold dragonflies perched on the top of some reeds. Using my zoom lens I positioned the dragonfly so that the sun was behind him creating a silhouette. And if you look really close you can see a mosquito hanging on the underside of the reed hiding from the dragonfly as mosquitoes are their favorite food.
Don’t just rely on the monster drink Industry to bail you out of an energyless day. Do what I do, plan ahead, lead a sensible lifestyle with proper food and supplements, don’t forget that camera, and “Preserve the Adventure”

Why do they still use carbon dioxide in the soft drinks industry?
How much CO2 is being released into the atmosphere?
Lets just suppose each 2 ltr bottle held 2 gms of CO2.
1 million bottles opened daily releasing 2 gms of CO2 into the atmosphere.
2 million gms of CO2 being released everyday = 2000 metric tonnes
Over the course of a year = 730,000 tonnes
Are they really doing the world a favour or are they helping to destroy it? Is there anything we can do about it when the major players (Coke, Pepsi, Schwepps etc.) also have legal representatives on the payroll?
The quantitiy is quite small due to other sources of CO2 in the atmosphere almost completely insignificant.
Much of the CO2 is produced in manufacturing where it is a biproduct of combining calcium carbonate (a rock) with waste acid.
The environmental danger of releasing the various acids from industrial production without neutralizing them would be far greater than the CO2 itself.
Dont waste your time on the last 0.001 % of the problem the cause of global warming is elsewhere. The production and transport of the drinks (even water) releases more CO2 from burning fuel than the CO2 in the drink themselves. This is from the cost to make the can/bottle and cost to ship it to the consumer. The aluminum industry spends nearly $2 billion dollars a year on energy in the USA. Even if nearly all cans were recycled, the energy (and CO2 released to make the enrgy) would still make the CO2 in the beverage appear tiny.
