I think so.  If you are going to play a video game why not let it be a healthy one where you actually getting some exercise when you are playing it.  Today people have less and less energy and turn to the monster drink Industry for a caffeine drink to give them all the energy they need so they can sit on their buts and play video games.  Wii is an awesome idea from Nintendo.  It’s a video game that you have to move around to play!   What a concept.

I was playing around with some old pictures as well as some new one and put together this little video. With my active lifestyle I really try to take care of my body and take in as much good nutrition as I can and eliminate the bad when possible. Excessive caffeine drinks I really try to avoid. That reminds me of when I was in college and I played pick up basketball 5 days a week. At least once a week I would be out of breath and really huffing and puffing and just could not figure out why I was so out of shape on one of those days per week. I later linked it to the days I didn’t get enough sleep and needed coffee in order to get some quality studying done. I would drink a cup or two, study and then go play basketball. That was it! So what can the monster drink Industry offer a Photographer as far as energy is concerned?  Having been a professional photographer, having plenty of energy and mental clarity is imperative to capturing that perfect moment.  Lots of energy with the jitters is the last thing I want.  So the high caffeine, high sugar energy drinks are out. They do not give me the mental clarity that leads to inspiration and beautiful pictures.

Many of the images I take require me to be up way before dawn.  This picture was taken as the sun was just coming up.  It was a cold January morning and the sunrise was anything but spectacular.  So instead of getting frustrated and heading home I chose to focus on some cold dragonflies perched on the top of some reeds.  Using my zoom lens I positioned the dragonfly so that the sun was behind him creating a silhouette.  And if you look really close you can see a mosquito hanging on the underside of the reed hiding from the dragonfly as mosquitoes are their favorite food.

Efusjon’s Raw and Edge were some energy drinks that I was testing out in the Monster drink industry.  I was pleased with the product but not so much with the parent company Efusjon.  If you are going to drink an energy drink please make sure it is a healthy one and do your research.  The energy you get from massive amounts of caffeine is not good.  Rockstar and Monster have high quantities of caffeine in them.

I found a nice little database that helped me do a little research on the amounts of caffeine found in energy drinks. The range was from 400mg to 0mg.

The highest on the list was Fixx Extreme at 400mg and there were several at the lowest being 0mg. One of them at 0mg was Efusjon’s Raw. Rockstar was 150mg and Monster Energy Drink was 160mg.

For reference drip coffee has about 145mg of caffeine in it and decaf has about 2.5mg. I do not drink coffee and have very limited caffeine in my diet. So a full cup of coffee will really get me going and heaven forbid I consume a Fixx Extreme as it would probably wire me to death. A lot of people experience side effects above 200mg, which include sleeplessness, heart palpitations, headaches, nausea, and most commonly the jitters. I try to stay well below that amount.

This is why I have chosen Efusjon’s Raw or Edge from the monster drink industry. Again the Raw does not have any caffeine and Edge only has 60mg.
