I dont know if any kind of water is safe or not, all I know it that the tap water we have smells strong of chlorine and I cant stand it so I use a Brita water filter and I use the filtered water from that to make my own "bottled water".

Well, I had to put down my cup of tap water to type this answer, so I either trust the city’s water or I like to live on the edge (hint, I have never jumped out of an airplane)
