Interesting points …
Interesting points on the information the human eye can process. However, as an information management/ consultant many firms i work with are advised to impliment multiple monitors to view information… by doing this it makes an almighty difference to the production of processing digital information. Which in a way endorses your point.
With regards to larger firms producing more paper this is mainly the case due to their size. They usually have a maze of dysfunctional proceses – another day!
